Suffolk Man Struck, Seriously Hurt By SUV: Police
The man was crossing Route 25A, near Mount Sinai-Coram Road, when he was hit by a 2022 Subaru Forrester, police say.
MOUNT SINAI, NY — A 32-year-old Miller Place man was seriously injured crossing the street when he was hit by an SUV in Mount Sinai on Wednesday night, Suffolk police said.
The man was crossing Route 25A, just west of Mount Sinai-Coram Road, from north to south, when he was struck by 2022 Subaru Forrester heading east around 11 p.m. He was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment, police said. The 18-year-old Subaru driver, of Miller Place, was unharmed.
The Subaru was impounded for a safety check, police said. Anyone with information about the crash should call police at 631-854-8652.
