Everyone knows living on Long Island is brutally expensive. Whether is be buying a new home, gas, bills etc. Whatever it may be, it’s very hard to survive on Long Island.
The millennials are eager to go to college and obtain a higher education, and better themselves and even college is being unaffordable. It’s not fair.
Many jobs on Long Island, are decent but in order to make a good living you need college, or some type of degree. Which for many isn’t affordable if you’re only making $11-12 per hour it’s not a reality. People here wouldn’t be homeless if everything was affordable. The minimum wage should be raised to the higher standard living here on Long Island. We all deserve affordable living. Not just the rich vs the poor.
