CORAM, NY — Detectives are investigating a single-vehicle crash that seriously hurt a motorcyclist in Coram on Monday afternoon, Suffolk police said.The 47-year-old Farmingville man was operating a 2025 Yamaha motorcycle southbound on Country Road 83, near South Bicycle Path, when he lost control of the bike, which left the roadway and struck a road sign, just after 4 p.m., according to police. He was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check, according to police. Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the 6th Squad in Selden at 631-854-8652.
