Opening the flood gates again.

Dear Port Jefferson Village Residents, the Village Parking committee is about to pay consultants to propose ways of making a multi story parking lot of the existing GAP lot. In my opinion and those that gave negative feedback for the Village Comprehensive Plan questionare regarding this plan, we should launch a "permissive referendum"as allowed by NY Syate law and Village Code, when and if a go ahead is approved by the administration to fund this outrageous plan with a bond the taxpayers would be responsible for. Let's remember what is very clear as an example of how things have gone so far in "our" Village. This administration opened the door to multi family apartment buildings and now we have lost our signature assets, a quaint, family oriented harbor Village and tax revenues. Once a multi story parking lot is built, there will be many more. Let's stop them now.
