Outlook

dim

I am amazed at the lack of response from the taxpayers of Port Jefferson Village regarding the runaway spending and the over indulgence the administration has for the business community. Perhaps the constant spending, grants, special treatments, PILOP, variances, special fee reductions, Shipwreck Apartments, parking lot purchases and many other expenditures gifted to the business owners within the Village are acceptable to some. However, the bubble is starting to burst. Water pressure on the lower west side of the Village is suffering. Ask the residents. Traffic is worse than ever, and the "project like" four story apartment buildings are ready to be built on Main St by the tracks, in Cappy's carpet lot and at the old Gudziks lot.
