Nassau Man, 74, Dies After Vehicle Plunges Off Port Jefferson Dock: Cops
Police say he suffered "an apparent medical emergency" and drove the vehicle into the water.
PORT JEFFERSON, NY — A man died after driving his vehicle off the dock into the water in Port Jefferson on Friday night, Suffolk police said.
Stuart Dorfman, 74, of Plainview, was driving a vehicle on West Broadway at the Port Jefferson dock when he suffered "an apparent medical emergency" and drove into the water at 7:20 p.m., police said, adding that he was pulled from the water and pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about Dorfman's death to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392.
