Police Make Arrest in Port Jeff Station Bank Robbery
Man charged with robbing an HSBC Bank last week.

A 32-year-old Medford man was arrested on Tuesday and charged with robbing a Port Jefferson Station bank last week.
Peter Iatauro is charged with third degree robbery. He also faces a charge of seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance for being in possession of heroin, police said.
According to police, Iatauro robbed the HSBC Bank, located at 574 Jefferson Shopping Plaza, at about 2:35 p.m. on July 10. He handed a teller a note demanding cash and then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

Iatauro was held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District in Central Islip on Wednesday.
