Police Seeking Driver Who Ran Down Pedestrian in Coram
The pedestrian is in critical condition following hit-and-run crash Wednesday morning.

A 57-year-old man was critically injured when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Coram Wednesday morning, police said.
According to police, Gary Williams, of Coram, was walking on the right hand shoulder of northbound Mill Road when he was struck by a northbound vehicle around 11 a.m.
Williams was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

Detectives are looking for a newer-model, dark-colored, 4-door sedan with damage to the windshield and passenger side-view mirror.
The investigation is continuing and police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to call the Vehicular Crimes Unit 631-852-6555 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
