Annalisa Welinder, a violinist from Port Jefferson's Earl L. Vandermeulen High School has been selected as one of two concertmasters for the prestigious National Youth Orchestra of the USA as part of Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute. As a concertmaster, Welinder will represent Port Jefferson as a musical ambassador and travel around the world to play at some of the most famous concert halls, including Carnegie Hall on July 21.
