  1. A cash reward is being offered to whomever helps police to identify the man who stole food products from Shoprite of Port Jefferson on Nesconset Highway. The crime happened on July 24. Security cameras have shown the suspect leaving the store with a bag with unpaid products. (News 12 Long Island)
  2. Hooray to the Long Island Cranx Foundation for completing its "Epic Rides For A Cause" which raised $22,000 in funds to help the Stony Brook Children's Hospital. The group biked to the hospital on July 27 to deliver the check. (Stony Brook News)
