Here are the top 3 stories today in Port Jefferson:

1. Long Island Explorium Museum in Port Jefferson hosts the "Summer Outdoor STEM Workshop" on Aug.12. Save the date to enjoy an afternoon filled with hands-on activities for kids in grades 2-6. The fair starts at 1 p.m. at 101 East Broadway in Port Jefferson.

2. The historic Roe Tavern will be transported to its original location in Setauket. At a meeting on July 21, the tavern owner, Art Billadello, agreed to sell the site to the town for $800,000. (TBR News Media)
3. An alligator was given to the Suffolk County SPCA by its owner who could no longer care for it. The 5-foot reptile, Zachary, was transported to a licensed wildlife center. (News12)
