Participants will color a cut out of their hand and all of the hands will be fashioned into a heart demonstrating love and diversity.

PORT JEFFERSON, NY — The Port Jefferson Library will host a Martin Luther King Jr. Collaborative Art Project on Monday.

As part of the project, children and adults will be encouraged to celebrate King's legacy and color a hand to match their unique skin tone. Then library staff will put them all together in a heart "to show love for the town's diverse community," according to the library.
