Port Jefferson Middle School is proud to announce that eighth-grade student MakayLyn Bourjolly has been awarded the Long Island String Festival Association (LISFA) Private Study Grant Scholarship for the 2025-2026 school year.

The highly competitive scholarship recognizes outstanding young string musicians who have demonstrated exceptional talent, dedication, and promise in their musical studies. MakayLyn’s achievement reflects her commitment to musical excellence and the hard work she has invested in her studies. Her passion for music, combined with countless hours of practice and performance, has distinguished her among talented student musicians from across Long Island.

The Long Island String Festival Association supports and promotes string education throughout the region, providing performance opportunities, scholarships, and enrichment experiences for student musicians.
