Possible Gun Shots Reported In Port Jefferson Station: PD

The caller reported hearing loud bangs they associated with the sound of gun shots, Suffolk police said.

PORT JEFFERSON STATION, NY — Suffolk County police responded to 9-1-1 caller reporting possible gun shots in Port Jefferson Station on Sunday.

Police said they were called to a location near Grand and Olympia lanes at about 11:25 a.m. after a 9-1-1 caller reported “hearing loud bangs they believed were gun shots.”

Once at the scene, police officers found there was no evidence of a shooting.
