Registered Sex Offender Arrested on Child Porn Charges

He was arrested at his Long Island home Friday afternoon, police say.

CORAM, NY – A registered sex offender was arrested on child pornography charges Friday afternoon, Suffolk Police said.

Following an investigation, Computer Crimes Section detectives arrested David B. Korzeniowski at his home located on Homestead Drive in Coram at about 4 p.m. for possessing child pornography on his computer, police said.

Korzeniowski, 62, was charged with possessing a sexual performance by a child and promoting a sexual performance by a child, both felonies. He will be held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.

Korzeniowski was convicted of felony child porn possession in 2005. He was sentenced to six months in jail and 10 years probation, according to the state's sex offender registry.
