In my opinion mayor Garant and her constabulatory work mainly for and in the business sections of the Village. Living just a block from downtown, we residential taxpayers must put up with the the illegal parking that is prevalent on a day to day basis. There are always cars parked to close to fire hydrants, parked backwards, blocking driveways, in locations with visable signs stating, no parking, cars parked within 25 ft of stop signs and other infractions, with no tickets on them. Its one thing to burden the residential neighborhoods with the visitors who can't find a parking spot, and store workers who don't want to pay for parking but at least have the constable ticket those offenders in the residential areas. Take care of the "Port Jefferson residents first".
