Neighbor News

Some have it better than others

Is it really who you know?

It seems the Port Jefferson Village administration has forgotten the issue of parking spaces or PILOP for the Main and East Main street Bank building sold to Agrino LLC by the Town of Brookhaven back in 2015. The bank building had no land for parking and the Town and Village were attempting to find a way to finish the deal although the owner has been open and doing business since June of 2017 according to local newspapers. In January of 2017 the NY State Attorney Generals office had issues with the supposed deal on hand. The only information I can gleen is from minutes of the Village Parking Committee of July 10,2019 when Trustee Snaden states "Village Attorney Egan is working on it". So much for follow through. How many other deals effecting other Code infractions are being "worked on" with no information or updates. Some have privilages others do not in this Village in my opinion.
