St. Charles Hospital Names New Chairman of its Medical Board
Orththopedic surgeon, Philip Schrank, MD was named new chairman of the medical board and president of medical staff at St. Charles Hospital.
announced recently that Dr. Philip Schrank, an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the shoulder and sports medicine injuries, replaced gastroenterologist Robert Baranowski, MD, as chairman of its medical board and president of the medical staff.
In addition to working at the hospital and serving on the board, Dr. Schrank has a private practice in East Setauket at Orthopedic Associates of Long Island. Dr. Baranowski will hold the position of immediate past-president at the hospital.
Dr. Schrank earned his medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine and did his general surgery internship at New York University Medical Center.
