State Assembly 4th District Republican Primary Results

SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — Edward A. Flood and Thomas Wiermann ran in the Republican primary for the New York State Assembly 4th District to see who will challenge Democratic incumbent Assemblyman Steve Englebright.

Flood leads Wiermann by 2,491 votes to 2,375. With absentee ballots outstanding, the race is too close to call. The Suffolk Board of Elections did not respond to a request for comment about the number of absentee ballots left to be counted.

The 4th State Assembly District covers Port Jefferson, Port Jefferson Station, Stony Brook, Setauket, Terryville, Belle Terre, Strongs Neck, Poquott, and parts of Coram, Selden, and Gordon Heights.
