"We learned that a student at the high school made a threatening statement and we immediately intervened with our building administration and the school psychologist. The police were called and evaluated the potential threat. No weapons were discovered on school premises and to the best of our knowledge, the student did not have access to any. It does not appear that any students or staff were in danger. The student will not be attending school until we are confident that they are not a threat. Furthermore, appropriate discipline is being taken. Please be assured that the safety and welfare of all of our students and staff is always our number one concern. We take every potential threat seriously and always act accordingly."
