Superheroes Join the Bethpage Ocean to Sound Relay

A perfect fall day greeted nearly 200 eight-member teams as they ran in Sunday’s 50-mile relay race across varying terrain starting at Jones Beach State Park in Wantagh and ending at The Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park in Oyster Bay. The race, organized by the Greater Long Island Running Club (GLIRC) with the help of sponsors like Hicksville-based Sleepy’s, was followed by an amazing five-hour party. Several teams dressed up to take part in the race including these gals: The 8 Wonders of the World.
