Walking the Walk on Opioid Prevention

The Suffolk County Legislature this week recognized Comsewogue High School students for efforts to raise awareness about the opioid crisis

Suffolk County Legislators Kara Hahn and Sarah Anker this week recognized Comsewogue High School students Selin Inan, David Schubert, Jr. and Sydney Carter and their teacher Maura Montgomery for efforts to raise awareness about the opioid crisis confronting students across the nation. The students, along with many of their classmates, banded together to organize the “Comsewogue Opioids Project” that, last month, culminated with a student led walk to raise awareness of the drug’s abuse and its effects on our communities.
