The Mayor and Board of Port Jefferson Village were so quick to attempt to sway our School District to do things their way, hold off with a Bond for repairs and other expendertures for the school buildings. However when it comes to the Suffolk County IDA eliminating taxes for builders of highrise apartments the administration seems mute. I suppose the administration has their reasons. Could it be; business, friendship, money, power? Probably not. The burden is on the taxpayer.
