Where are the bids or RFPs?

Does anyone ever wonder why one person always gets the job of Construction Manager for the major projects within Port Jefferson Village? I have never seen a bid isued for the position this one person has been given time and time and time again for large and small projects our taxes pay for in many instances. Isn't it about time a fair and unbiased bid process be followed? We are being nickled and dimed to thousands of dollars with no bidding or RFPs for this type work. Something doesn't feel right about this ongoing situation. Surely there are persons with the same or better qualifications who would do the process for less money.
