Why Do You Watch the Super Bowl? [POLL]

The commercials and halftime shows have become almost as noteworthy as the game itself.

You have to admit, some years the Super Bowl gets hijcked by the commercials or the halftime show.

Most ads makers try to make us laugh. Who can forget the Budweiser Bull Frogs in the video attached to this story, the Xerox "Monks" commercial or the Monster.com "When I Grow Up Ad?" Or a personal favorite, the E-Trade talking babies commercials. At AOL News, they even put together a list of the 7 best Super Bowl commercials of all time that included the famous Ridley Scott-directed Apple Macintosh ad dubbed, "1984." The Wall Street Journal reported that a 30-second Super Bowl commercial will cost advertisers $3.5 million this year. There's a lot at stake there.

Halftime shows also get lots of buzz. This year, Madonna is expected to vogue her way on to the 50-yard line. Legends like Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Aerosmith and The Who have taken center stage. No one can ever forget the "wardrobe malfunction" that plagued Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake's performance.

Oh yeah, they play a football game that day too.
