The 2019 Port Washington Thanksgiving Day Run is next week and we need volunteers!
Thursday, 11/28 (Race Day)
- 6:45AM - 8:00AM Adult Activities Center (formerly the Senior Citizen Center) We need ONE assertive person to direct runners inside the building and maintain control of door! (inside/standing)
- 6:45AM - 8:30AM Adult Activities Center - We need FIVE non-flustered people to hand out race packets to runners (inside/sitting)
- 7:45AM - 8:30AM Starting line on Manorhaven Blvd at Edgewood Rd - We need 5 people to hold pace signs (outside/standing)
- 8:30AM to 9:30 AM Finish line at Manorhaven Park parking lot. We need THREE people to escort top runners to designated area for pictures (outside/standing)
- 8:30AM to end of race (approx. 10:45AM) Finish line We need TWO people to hand out medals to runners (outside/standing).
- 7:30AM to 10:30 AM We need FIVE people to assist PW Police in directing runner traffic at Shore Rd & Harbor Rd.(outside/standing) Safety vests provided. Instructions given at 7:30 AM at Adult Activities Center; help begins at 8:30 AM on roadway.
