9/27 PWPL John Ford of Strawbs Returns for British RockNRoll Show

Free British Rock 'n Roll Concert Kicks Off at Port Washington Public Library at 7:30 p.m

British-born musician, John Ford of the Strawbs will return to Port Washington Public Library with his own full band on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 7:30, for a live Rock n Roll concert, after 2 yr. hiatus. Ford is still fresh from Strawbs 50th Anniversary weekend earlier this year with the Strawbs "Grave New World" lineup at The Strand in Lakewood, NJ with plans to do another Strawbs tour in US, Canada and the UK with Dave Cousins, Blue Weaver, Brian Willoughby, Tony Fernandez along with Eric Bazillion and Wesley Stace and others.

Ford will be featuring songs from his forthcoming album, as well as 'A Better Day', and music he wrote from his former bands - Strawbs, Hudson Ford, The Monks UK Band Official Site along special favourites from The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Kinks and The Shadows.

Concert opens with new originals set, off Ford's upcoming, album and John Ford Meet & Greet, autograph signing and photos with fans to follow concert. Always a great time had by all!

John Ford is founding member of Hudson Ford, The Monks and Elmer Gantry's Velvet Opera, has received several Gold and Platinum Records, an Ivor Novello Songwriting award for "Part of the Union", in addition to global acclaim for his other songs, including "Heavy Disguise," and The Monks' Bad Habits hit "Nice Legs Shame About The Face," as well as tunes from his other band projects. John Ford has toured and shared the stage with other legendary musicians and bands including Jimi Hendrix, Patti Smith, Ritchie Blackmore, Marc Bolan of T.Rex, Dave Mason, The Eagles, Jefferson Starship, Alice Cooper, Ian Lloyd of Stories, King Crimson, Steppenwolf, Peter Noone, Peter Tork of the Monkees along with countless others top bands and members through his musical career.
