PORT WASHINGTON, NY — Four people were displaced after a house fire in Port Washington late Wednesday afternoon, fire marshals said.
The Port Washington Fire Department responded to the Pulaski Place home after receiving a house fire call at 3:45 p.m. on Aug. 19, the Nassau County Fire Marshal's Office said.
The fire, which was located in the second-floor bathroom, was brought under control within 15 minutes by about 50 firefighters, according to fire officials.
The Red Cross was notified for the four displaced residents, fire marshals said.
Mutual aid assistance was provided by Manhasset and Plandome fire departments – all under the command of Chief Saccoccia, fire officials said.
The Building Department was on scene, fire marshals said.
No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation by the NCFM's Office and the NCPD Arson/Bomb Squad, according to fire marshals.
