PORT WASHINGTON, NY — Bella came all the way from Texas in search of her forever home. Now, the gentle terrier mix is waiting at North Shore Animal League America for a family to call her own.
Young Bella has kind eyes and a sweet personality. She loves going on walks with toys in her mouth and greeting people with tail wags and kisses, shelter staff said.
She can be fearful at times, so the shelter recommends an experienced adopter who can give her patience, love, and a calm environment.
Bella would do best in a home with a fully fenced-in yard where she can run and play. She can live with another resident dog and would be best suited for a family with children over the age of 12.
