21 Dogs Rescued From Manorhaven Boarding Facility: PD

The dogs were found in "various stages of neglect" inside a commercial building used for dog boarding, police say.

MANORHAVEN, NY — Twenty-one dogs in varying stages of neglect were removed from a Manorhaven building Saturday night, police said.

Nassau County police said officers responded to a commercial address on Shore Road used as a dog-boarding business at 10:44 p.m. for a report of sick animals.

Officers located a total of 21 dogs inside the location, and the Town of North Hempstead Animal Control removed the dogs, police said.

According to police, the Nassau County SPCA also responded to the scene; the investigation is ongoing.
