Bonded Brothers Left Behind After Owners Move, Now Seeking Home Together

PORT WASHINGTON, NY — Bonded brothers Koala and Wallaby have only known the comfort of each other and a home — until now.

The seven-year-old brothers were left behind when their owners made an abrupt move and could no longer keep them.

The cats were adopted together as kittens and are now navigating shelter life at North Shore Animal League America's Port Washington campus.

Wallaby is on the shy side but loves wand play, while Koala, on the other hand, is happy to soak up the affection, shelter staff said.
