
See the grand rooms inside the massive 50,000-square-foot Tudor-style mansion, the former summer residence of Howard Gould (1912-1917) and later Daniel and Florence Guggenheim (1917-1930).
Interior access to Hempstead House is available by scheduled guided tours only. Tours are limited in group size and tend to sell out. Tickets are only available to purchase day-of in Castle Gould’s Welcome Center, open Wednesday – Sunday at 11am. Please arrive early to purchase tickets.
PLEASE NOTE:
·Hempstead House tours are designed for adults, but children 5+ are allowed. Children under 5 will not be permitted.
·Tours are $10 per person, payable at the Welcome Center. Tickets are available for purchase day-of only – advance ticket sales are not available.
·Tours run approximately 45 minutes.
·Pets are not allowed inside the mansion; service dogs are permitted
·Entrance to the Preserve is free for Conservancy members; $15 per car for non-members.
Photography is allowed.
