Curated by Homebrew Music, these sessions bring the best local 
artists to our cozy pond-side spot for select Sundays all spring and 
summer. Relax on our lounge furniture, explore the trails, and let the 
music set the mood. Weather permitting.

Celebrate the end of summer with an unforgettable outdoor concert on our Great Lawn at our Summer Breeze Blowout with&nbsp;The Everly Set. Bringing the timeless sound of the legendary Everly Brothers to life, <a href="https://theeverlyset.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">The Everly Set</a> captivates audiences with soaring harmonies, exceptional musicianship, and irresistible charm. Featuring acclaimed performers Sean Altman and Jack Skuller,
 the group performs beloved classics that helped define the sound of 
rock and roll, including “Bye Bye Love,” “Wake Up Little Susie,” and 
“All I Have to Do Is Dream.” Their dynamic stage presence and authentic 
harmonies create a nostalgic, feel-good experience that will have 
audiences singing along, dancing, and celebrating summer’s final days.
The concert is rain or shine and will be held either outside on our 
Great Lawn or inside in our Black Box Theater (depending upon the 
weather).

Join Hildur Palsdottir for an evening of nature-based mindfulness and
 meditation on the first Thursday of every month. Classes will be held 
in the beautiful rooms of the Preserve’s mansions, or in the Hempstead 
House Garden when weather permits.
With these sessions we will explore techniques specifically aimed at 
stress reduction. With kind curiosity Hildur adapts ancient Buddhist 
teachings to modern applications for calming the mind. Meditation 
practice helps us become aware of our thoughts and better manage our 
moods. With transformative practices you will access wisdom and clarity 
to live a more compassionate life. Regular meditation practice can 
improve attention and focus and supports a better outlook on life. In 
addition to facilitating these monthly groups, Hildur will offer support
 with establishing a home meditation practice. No feeling is final. Join
 us in becoming one with the flow of experience.
Chairs will be provided, but guests are welcome to bring a meditation cushion, pillow or mat.

45th Annual Italian Festival Returns to Port Washington September 10–13
The John Michael Marino Lodge No. 1389 is proud to invite the community to its 45th Annual Italian Festival, a Port Washington tradition featuring authentic Italian cuisine, live entertainment, carnival rides, fireworks, shopping, and family fun.
The festival will be held at North Hempstead Beach Park, 175 West Shore Road, Port Washington, from Thursday, September 10, through Sunday, September 13, 2026. 
Festival Hours
Thursday, September 10: 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Friday, September 11: 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Saturday, September 12: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Sunday, September 13: Noon – 9:00 PM
Festival-goers can enjoy a wide variety of authentic Italian favorites, including pasta dishes, the festival's famous meatball heroes, eggplant heroes, rice balls, sausage and peppers, and many additional offerings from specialty food vendors, including tacos and traditional festival fare.
The popular pastry tent will feature fresh cannoli, Italian pastries, cappuccinos, espresso, coffee, and the festival favorite—hot, freshly made zeppole.
The entertainment lineup offers something for everyone:
Thursday: DJ and Live Karaoke
Friday: Decadia performing from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Saturday: Live music from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by Any Way You Want It from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Sunday: Italian Band, Accordion Player and&nbsp;popular music from Noon until 9:00 PM
A spectacular fireworks display is scheduled for Saturday evening at approximately 9:00 PM.
Blue Sky Amusements will once again provide a wide selection of carnival rides for children and adults. Pay-One-Price wristbands will be available all four days, allowing unlimited rides during designated sessions.
In addition to the food and entertainment, visitors can browse a variety of vendor booths offering jewelry, specialty merchandise, crafts, and unique gifts.
Admission is free, with parking just $5 per vehicle. Food, rides, and Pay-One-Price wristbands are available for purchase.
