Join the Port Washington Fire Department for a Community Open House! Bring the family to explore fire apparatus, try on protective gear, watch live firefighting and EMS demonstrations, and meet your local volunteer heroes. With volunteer numbers declining across the state, discover how you can make a meaningful difference and join the team—no prior experience necessary!
During the Open House, community members will have the opportunity to:
- Tour fire apparatus and emergency vehicles
- Meet Port Washington firefighters and EMS personnel
- Try on firefighting protective gear
- See demonstrations of firefighting and EMS operations
- Learn about the training and experiences of volunteer members
- Speak with current members about what it is like to volunteer
- Learn how to become a member of the Port Washington Fire Department
Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend. Families are welcome!
