Stern old Aunt Dora, who never married, has died and left her estate and sizable fortune to&nbsp;her three young nieces and nephews — but to get it, they must each scramble to make a&nbsp;major change in their lives. With millions at stake, can they rise to the challenge and satisfy Aunt Dora’s quirky conditions by the deadline?&nbsp; "Where There’s a Will …,” an original comedy in the classic style of radio’s Golden Age,&nbsp;will be presented by the Landmark Radio Theater on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, at 4 p.m, at the Jeanne Rimsky Theater, Landmark on Main&nbsp;Street.&nbsp; Join the fun and be part of the live “studio audience” as a talented cast gives voice to&nbsp;more than two dozen vivid characters, with live music and sound eﬀects created right on stage. The hourlong performance will feature period-style “station breaks” and songs&nbsp;between acts. Join us at the Library as we spotlight community member, Scott Reich, who is the author of a new book, "One Day in September - Baseball, Brotherhood and the Birth of the All-Star Game", which tells the little-known story of a baseball game played on a September afternoon at Fenway Park in 1917. The game's greatest stars, Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, "Shoeless" Joe Jackson, Tris Speaker, Walter Johnson, Connie Mack and more took the field together in an exhibition played not for standings or championships, but for a colleague who had died, and for a cause larger than the game itself. Mr. Reich will appear in conversation with John O'Connell, former president the PWPL Board of Trustees. Books will be available for purchase and signing. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

In 2026, the acclaimed chamber music series Four Seasons in Music celebrates its eighth season under the inspired direction of Artistic Director Kathryn Lockwood. Set amidst the breathtaking beauty of The Preserve’s historic Hempstead House, Castle Gould, and picturesque waterfront grounds, this distinctive series presents four seasonal concerts. Each performance weaves together music and poetry, inviting audiences to connect deeply and reflect meaningfully throughout the year.
The Preserve’s ensemble-in-residence duoJalal (Kathryn Lockwood and Yousif Sheronick) is joined by a rotating roster of internationally celebrated musicians. Together, they deliver dynamic performances spanning classical masterworks by Beethoven, Bach, and Mozart to works by today’s globally diverse composers. Each concert concludes with a themed reception, inviting guests to mingle with the artists and fellow music lovers in an atmosphere of warmth and community.
