CancerCare Names Revelant as New President
Tina Revelant replaces retiring CancerCare President Vilma Jones.
Members of the Port Washington/Manhasset Chapter of CancerCare recently held a farewell dinner for outgoing president Vilma Jones at Guarijo Restaurant in Port Washington. Since many of CancerCare’s members perform in the organization’s beloved Red Stocking Revue, singing and joking was a huge part of the evening. The new board members were also sworn in by member and Police Commissioner Dave Franklin.
Vilma Jones, who has served as CancerCare President for the past four years is stepping down because she is moving to be closer to her daughter, who is expecting her first child. The newly elected Board President is Tina Revelant, who has played a very active role in CancerCare for years, including performing with Red Stocking Revue, among other fundraisers.
