Hands of Change Protest @ Chase Bank

Breaking News in Port Washington NY

The Hands of Change Civic Association dedicated to the re-opening of our beloved Alvin Petrus Park which has been in existence for over 50 years along with community residents and other civic associations will be picketing JP Morgan Bank on 115 Main Street, Port Washington NY 11050 on Saturday July 21st 2012 at 10:00am UNTIL NOON.

They hold the deed on the property of our beloved park located at the Roberta Nixon, Harbor Homes complex off of Port Washington Blvd. After countless meetings they have done nothing to release the park. They have the power to try and build a senior citizen facility on park land although the residents of Port Washington voiced their negativity to the site resulting in the North Hempstead Housing Authority with-drawing their plans.
