The Mustang Shelby Club of Long Island (MSCLI), a regional chapter of the Mustang Club of America (MCA), today announced “Mustangs at the Beach 2012,” a classic automobile exhibit featuring hundreds of timeless cars.
The free-to-the-public event will take place at the spectacular Sands Point Preserve on Long Island’s scenic north shore in Sands Point, New York on May 19-20, 2012. What has been called the “Pebble Beach of Mustangs,” the second annual car show will feature Mustangs and Fords from over the past century. Last year's kickoff event brought more than 3,000 spectators and more than 300 vintage automobiles.
Organizers raised $6,000 for local charities and are hoping to exceed expectations this Memorial Day weekend. “Last year’s show was such a success,” said Mike Chludzinski, the show’s registrar. “This year we hope to see car owners from all over the New York region. It’s a great way to kick off the summer and support some wonderful causes.” Chludzinski’s 1965 Shelby was recently on the cover of Mustang Times, and is also the cover car of Greg Kolasa's The Definitive Shelby Mustang Guide 1965 - 1970.
