If the traditional gym workout was as fun as dancing, all the hottest nightspots would be filled with treadmills and elliptical machines. Obviously, this isn’t the case. Dance your cares (and unwanted pounds) away with this ZUMBA!!!
Hosted at the Berest Dance Center on South Washington Street, Zumba in Port offers Zumba classes taught by instructor Mary Shay, a former professional dancer and Pilates teacher. This fitness program, inspired by Latin dance, is growing in popularity every day thanks to its combination of fun dance moves and effective cardio and resistance training techniques. With two Zumba classes that burn anywhere from 300 to 500 calories each, you’ll be shimmying off the pounds before you can say “merengue.”
