Free Child Car Seat and Bicycle Safety Checks on June 3
County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton is sponsoring these potentially life-saving safety checks during Glen Cove's Kids Play Day.
While most car seats are safe, children can be badly injured during an accident if the seat is not properly installed. Ensuring bicycles are in good working condition and bicycle safety is being followed is also very important.
So that children are as safe as possible while riding in cars and everyone is safer when bicycle riding, Nassau County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton is sponsoring Car Seat and Bicycle Safety Checks on Saturday, June 3 as part of Glen Cove’s Kids Play Day. The Kids Play Day event will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with the Car Seat Safety Check scheduled from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. and the Bicycle Safety Check will be from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
All events will take place at Pryibil Beach, Eastland Drive in Glen Cove, and the location of the entire Glen Cove Kids Free Play Day. “Sponsored by the City of Glen Cove and local community organizations and businesses, Kids Play Day is such a fabulous event for families in Glen Cove,” Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton said. “I’m honored to host the car seat and bicycle safety check events to keep families safe while having fun.”
