John Ford and his full band return to take the stage for Live@PWPL Port Washington Public Library FRI NOV 14 @ 7:30pm for a special Pre-Thanksgiving Holiday FREE concert! London-born, Multi-Platinum Record Award music maker, Ford plans a bang-up Show with Electric & Acoustic sets, featuring tunes he wrote, recorded and performed with Strawbs, Hudson Ford and The Monks UK Band projects. Plus: his new Solo work and tribute to The Ventures and The Shadows, featuring Ford on lead. Dancing in the aisles is permitted!

Ford has been performing since a teenager in England, with his first record deal signed to Parlophone label, is best known as a high-ranking bass player, songwriter and vocalist for The Strawbs which featured Rick Wakeman on keyboards, before joining YES, and founding member of Hudson Ford, The Monks and Elmer Gantry’s Velvet Opera. Ford has received several Gold and Platinum Records, in addition to an Ivor Novello Songwriting awards for his work, in addition to global acclaim for his songs including “Part of the Union,” “Heavy Disguise,” and The Monks’ Bad Habits hit “Nice Legs Shame About The Face,” as well as his other band projects, -- Hudson Ford and The Monks amongst others. John Ford has toured and shared the stage with other legendary musicians and bands including Jimi Hendrix, Patti Smith, Ritchie, Blackmore, Marc Bolan of T.Rex, Dave Mason, The Eagles, Jefferson Starship, Alice Cooper, Ian Lloyd of Stories, King Crimson, Steppenwolf, Peter Noone, Peter Tork of the Monkees along with countless others top bands and members through his musical career.
