HEARTS Receives Peter and Jeri Dejana Family Foundation Grant

HEARTS is pleased to announce that they have been awarded a $10,000 grant helping fund the 2015 Grants for Arts programing in the community-wide Port Washington school district by the Peter and Jeri Dejana Family Foundation. HEARTS (Helping Enrich the Arts in Port Washington) provides the opportunity for interested parties to apply for funding to create new, as well as support existing, visual and performing arts initiatives in the Port Washington School District. PWSD teachers and administrators, as well as outside parties that partnered with teachers and administrators, submitted creative proposals reflecting a large variety of art forms impacting multiple grade levels. 2015 Grant Recipients were recently announced on HEARTS website.

Recently, Damon Gersh, Founder and Chairman of HEARTS and Jim Avena, Grant Administrator for the Peter and Jeri Dejana Family Foundation met to discuss the visions of their organizations and this new partnership.

Youth of Port Washington.”
