Sands Point Preserve Offers Learning Adventures at Home

New online classes provide enrichment for children and adults at home.

The Sands Point Preserve is closed during the COVID-19 crisis, so our educators will lead interactive online programs that are designed for adults and children to enjoy while safely at home. Explore the natural environment around you, and find peace within, through the following enriching programs:

ART, YOGA, SCIENCE IN NATURE
Multiple online classes for Children Age 3-Grade 5
Spring session starts Monday, April 6, 2020

ART
Children explore painting, clay sculpture, collage and more with guided online instruction. Supply kits are provided.

YOGA
Children discover basic yoga postures, meditation, and breathing techniques in fun and imaginative ways, from the comfort of home.

SCIENCE IN NATURE
Children receive online instruction in their own backyards, where they will engage in hands-on STEAM activities inspired by the natural world around them. Supply kits are provided.

EARTH EXPEDITIONS
Grades 6-8
Mondays at 4-5 PM
April 13 - June 22

This unique program offers an interdiscplinary curriculum of science, creative arts, and wellness. Students receive weekly online instruction and engage in outdoor projects to study wildlife, discover environmental conservation practices, conduct surveys and gather data, create art projects, and write from their hearts - all in their own backyards.
