ROSLYN, NY — After 14 years, Roslyn's Yolo Yogurt & Desserts has closed its doors on Sunday.

The frozen yogurt shop announced its closure via Facebook, stating the Yolo Family will miss its customers who helped build their community the most.

"When we started, we had no idea what we were signing up for — the long days, the hard seasons, and the indescribable joy of building something from scratch," the shop wrote. "What carried us through all of it was you."

The post continued, stating that not every business gets to experience a community as it did:

"You came back week after week. You brought your kids, your friends, your heartbreaks, and your celebrations. You made Yolo a place where people actually wanted to be."

Customers shared their appreciation for the shop, which stood for more than a decade on Old Northern Boulevard. One customer said the shop was a staple in the Village and they are sad to see it go.

The shop officially closed its doors on April 12, 2026, but has had temporary closures in the past.

In Dec. 2025, the shop closed for a few days to address a "minor rodent issue," and shared the details via Facebook.

"Our team worked with a licensed pest control expert and initiated a comprehensive recurring service plan to control any future issues," the shop wrote.
