Man Holds Girlfriend And Her 3 Sons Hostage In Car: Nassau Police

A man held his girlfriend and her three sons hostage in his car police say. The woman wrote a sign that said, "Please call 911, CALL 911.'

ROSLYN HEIGHTS, NY–William Jamal Wilkinson, 36, of Ridge, forced his girlfriend and her three sons (ages 13, 3 and 3) into his car, where he held them captive Tuesday, Nassau County Police said.

Patrol officers responded to the Mobil gas station located at 449 Glen Cove Road in Roslyn Heights around 1:30 p.m. and were told by someone that they saw a woman in the front passenger seat of a black 2005 Ford Taurus. The woman was holding a sign that read, "Please call 911, CALL 911." Wilkinson was arrested without issue.

Wilkinson was charged with four counts of first-degree unlawful imprisonment, two counts of first-degree endangering the welfare of incompetent physically disabled person, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal possession of marijuana. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday at First District Court, Hempstead.
