New: Pilates Mat Classes at Sands Point Preserve

All levels welcome to fitness program at the Guggenheim Estate, where membership helps support the site's buildings and grounds.

Weekly fitness and wellness classes at the Sands Point Preserve now include Pilates mat classes beginning Monday, May 9, at 9:30 a.m. Designed to build strength, balance, and flexibility, the classes are taught by Evolution Pilates studio founder Mo Wolfe.

The complete schedule of classes includes Meditation on Mondays at 11 a.m., Sit ‘n Fit on Tuesdays at 11 a.m., and Yoga on Thursdays at 11 a.m. and Fridays at 9 a.m. Sessions are held inside the historic mansions or outdoors on the Preserve’s beautiful grounds, as weather allows.

Pilates classes are $20 each, payable at the Gate House. Admission to the Preserve is $10 per car and free for Sands Point Preserve Conservancy members. Bring a mat and check in at the Gate House for the class location each week.

The Sands Point Preserve Conservancy is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with the mission to protect and preserve the 216-acre waterfront grounds and historic mansions and to provide a range of cultural arts events in Hempstead House and Castle Gould as well as educational programs for families and schools in the Phil Dejana Learning Center and Outdoor Classroom.
