Manhasset High School's Jim Brown returns for park's grand re-opening.
NFL great Jim Brown was on hand recently for the grand re-opening of Manhasset Valley Park.
Brown was a standout in four sports at Manhasset High School, including football and lacrosse, before going on to star at Syracuse University in football. He then went on to a Hall of Fame NFL career.
The reconstruction of Manhasset Valley Park includes two brand new artificial turf fields. One will be used for baseball. The other, a multi-purpose field, will be used for soccer and lacrosse. His name will be immortalized on a kiosk on the grounds of the park.
