Patient Punches 2 Nurses At LI Hospital: Police
He became agitated and struck the 2 nurses with a closed fist, police say.
MANHASSET, NY — A Queens man was arrested after punching two nurses at a Nassau hospital where he was a patient, police said.
According to Nassau County police, the incident took place on Monday at 3:37 p.m. in Manhasset. Officers responded to North Shore University Hospital on Community Drive after an assault report, police said.
Upon arrival, it was determined that a patient became agitated and struck two nurses with a closed fist, police said.

Oshane Bernard, 36, of Oakland Gardens, was placed under arrest without incident, police said.
The nurses, both 29, were evaluated by hospital staff at the scene, police said.

Bernard was charged with two counts of second-degree assault, police said.
He will be arraigned when medically practical, police said.
