Photography Club of Long Island Annual Exhibit and Show

IT ISN’T SPRING WITHOUT PCLI’S MUSIC AND IMAGES SHOW. Come to the Port Washington Public Library on Wednesday, May 8th at 7:30 p.m. to enjoy a special evening of images, music and refreshments. The Port Washington Library has partnered with PCLI for decades to produce these unique and highly popular shows. This year’s show is dedicated to Martin Vogel, the founder of the Photography Club of Long Island and a devoted advocate of our amazing Port Library. Marty was a wonderful photographer, an inspiring mentor and a great friend to so many. In his honor, PCLI members have worked long and hard to produce an outstanding Music and Images Show. The 2013 show will feature visits to Russia, Peru, Jordan and the Mediterranean. There are tributes to the American West, fabulous birds on the wing, a compelling view of the mysterious beauty of Florida, a rousing tribute to the Flushing Lunar parade, and more. Arrive early or stay late to admire the diverse photographs by club members on display in the library’s Martin Vogel Photography Gallery through the months of May and June. If you can’t attend the May 8th evening show, come to the early afternoon reprise at the library on Friday, June 14 at 12:10 p.m. For further information about PCLI, visit its website at www.pcliphoto.org.
