Police Help Choking Baby In Roslyn Heights: Police

ROSLYN HEIGHTS, NY — Police officers responded to a 911 call for a choking baby on Sunday night in Roslyn Heights, police said.

Nassau County police said officers were informed that the mother's attempt to dislodge the obstruction did not work, and the infant was coughing and crying at approximately 11:26 p.m.

Officers delivered back slaps to dislodge the item and removed a plastic wrapper obstructing his airway, police said.

The infant was examined at the scene by a Nassau County Police Medic, and it was determined that he did not need any additional medical treatment, police said.
